If you’ve given birth to a child, you know intense pain! And breath work is a huge part of giving birth. If you have broken a bone or experienced a serious injury, you know intense pain! The loss of a loved one, whether through death or the relationship ends, you know intense pain! We are birthing healing throughout life. Breathing is a powerful tool to transcend seemingly unbearable pain. One of the most powerful tools for shifting the mindset from pain to relieving pain is through the breath. Breathe in deeply through the nose taking the breath all the way down into the belly… hold it for 5 seconds, then exhale through the mouth completely emptying the lungs. As you do notice the pain and suffering release from the entire body. Before breathing again, be still in the space. Do this several times. Breathing light into the pain can relieve or lessen pain.
